Untamed Flowers highlights the unique beauty and importance of native plants. We grow native and ornamental flowers on 60,000 SF of greenroof in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Beyond the Bouquet

Looking good, while doing good

We installed and currently maintain 60,000 SF of intensive green roofs. The buildings are movie studios owned by Broadway Stages. These roofs capture thousands of gallons of stormwater per year, reducing combined sewage overflow,  filter heavy metals from the air, reduce energy consumption, cool the air, and provide natural habitat.

Biodiver-city

Wildflowers have evolved with insects over millions of years and are crucial to our ecological health. Insects are the main food source for migratory and overwintering birds. Without native plants, these insects won’t exist. In cities, like New York, where asphalt seems endless and native greenery sparse, our wildflowers provide pollen that birds, butterflies and bees need to survive.  We grow and sell non-native annuals and bulbs, like Tulips, Zinnias, Cosmos, and Poppies to help us to maintain our natural habitat.
